Workshop Description
Nov. 19 from 5:30pm-6:45pm In recent years, breathwork has become increasingly popular. Many modern approaches focus on emotional release, nervous system regulation, peak experiences, or altered states of consciousness. Traditional Prāṇāyāma takes a different path. Rooted in thousands of years of yogic wisdom, Prāṇāyāma is not simply a breathing technique. It is a sacred discipline designed to cultivate awareness, refine attention, and harmonize the movement of prāṇa, the vital life force that animates all living beings. Rather than seeking intense experiences, traditional practice invites something far more profound: Each monthly gathering offers a gentle introduction to authentic yogic breathing practices and meditation techniques passed through traditional lineages. Together we explore the relationship between breath, mind, and inner stillness in a safe, grounded, and accessible way. Whether you are completely new to meditation or have years of experience, this class offers a space to slow down, reconnect, and discover the transformative power of conscious breathing. What to Expect • Traditional Prāṇāyāma practices taught progressively • Guided meditation • Philosophical insights from the yogic tradition • A calm and supportive environment • Time for reflection and questions Who Is This For? This class is for anyone seeking a deeper relationship with breath beyond stress management or self-improvement. It is for those who feel called toward a contemplative practice rooted in wisdom, presence, and self-discovery. You do not need previous experience. Traditional Prāṇāyāma & Meditation A monthly return to the wisdom of the breath. Unlike many modern breathwork approaches that focus on intense experiences, traditional Prāṇāyāma is a contemplative practice rooted in the yogic tradition. Through conscious breathing and meditation, we cultivate steadiness, awareness, and a deeper connection to ourselves. This class is taught by Shaylee Graham certified psychotherapist, trauma-informed practitioner, and certified traditional breathwork teacher, creating a safe and supportive space for exploration. We warmly welcome practitioners from all backgrounds and intentionally encourage PoGM participation to help cultivate a more diverse and inclusive contemplative community. No experience is necessary. Simply bring your breath, your curiosity, and a willingness to slow down. Monthly • All Levels Welcome
